Welcome to The Wolverine Blog, a little project of mine that started in April of 2009, which is dedicated to covering University of Michigan sports (I’m guessing you’ve probably picked up on that).

I am currently a senior at Michigan, pursuing a somewhat-useless undergraduate degree in History while keeping my eyes open for career opportunities in sports journalism, but my love for Michigan sports long predates my attending this fine university. My father also attended undergrad here, and, upon moving my family to Ann Arbor when I was five, passed on his passion for Michigan football to me. Had he known his passion would turn into my borderline maniacal fanaticism, maybe he wouldn’t have purchased season tickets in the north end zone before the 1994 season, but I’m happy he made that decision.

This is actually my second sports blog, the first being the now-defunct “The Ace of Sports” (real humble, I am), which was my wildly ambitious attempt to cover not only U-M sports, but also the Lions, Pistons, Red Wings, and Tigers. In August of 2008, I started a one-year internship with The Wolverine Magazine, giving me the opportunity to cover the school that I love and also to start this blog, which (despite my internship now being over) still maintains a loose association with The Wolverine.

I hope you enjoy the blog, and don’t hesitate to email me with any questions, comments, tips, or anything else you think is worth my attention. Go Blue!
